I setup relatively close to shore in case the wind kicked up really hard and I found myself airborne I figured I would land close to the beach and not get too wet. Even so, I kept the camera about a foot and a half off the concrete surface and hoped the rectangular ND Grad filter would not take on the characteristics of a sail and launch my gear into the lake.

It was about this time that the wireless shutter release LCD display decided to go dim--no doubt it had had enough of the cold--so I decided to wrap it up after this one was taken and I considered myself fortunate to have such a wonderful break in the clouds as the day drew to a close.
